Seducing Mr. Perfect (Korean)

Excerpts from the movie (translated);

"is love a game of power?"
"is love a set of strategies to manipulate another person's emotion? to win?"
"is it wrong to tell the other person that you care?"
"is it wrong to want to do everything for the person you love?"
"is it wrong to just want to give instead of taking?"
"why does doing all these will make men treat you like dirt?"
"must everything in love be a cold blooded calculation of who is getting the upperhand?"

more than enough said. two thumbs up for this movie.

My chocolycious trip

This is just a trial version of my first flash baby...

My surprise party, turned 23!

Ha! I can't sleep. So I'm here, blogging.

Few hours ago was my first paper since I stopped studying for the last two and a half year. Phew! Thank goodness I can answer the questions. Was so worried that I could not pass. Ha ha..
On my birthday two weeks ago, nard gave me a surprise party. I was really 'surprised' as most of my close friends in singapore are there. He really put in a lot of effort into it. I can see it from the retro looking cut-fruits... hehe..

Anyway, here are the photos from my surprise birthday party. The other surprise that I get is that no one got drunk from that night. Hmm.. what a waste of alcohol. Too many good drinkers out there nowadays. Haha.. Oh yea, the whole night was centred on the pictionary game, with alcohol as the penalty. A bunch of drunkards, all of us!!
*burp..

Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix

Just came back from the cinema with nard, watching happy pottie.

The plot is the same as the book, but a tad disappointed with the first half of the movie. No action AT ALL!!! And it doesn't build up the suspense either!
Sigh, the book is still much better.

My only advise before watching this movie, read that book first to understand what's happening in the movie, or get a lot of sleep before the movie so you won't fall asleep in the first half.

Ghost Rider

Mat Rembek Berapi...

Really, no comment.

Transformers

With all of us growing up with transformers, who would not watch this artfully animated movie?

When nard gave me that phrase, 'the review is freaking good, let's go and watch it now.' I was a little skeptical about it. I mean, how good can it be? After all, half of it is animated. But I was mesmerized the first minute the show started. It's goo-goo-gaa-gaa the whole way.

This show not only redefines transformers as we know it, it redefines the animation world. (although there are a few parts that are 'not that great', it's forgiven by it's overall script). If you don't watch this, you might have just missed the movie of the year. It's really 'f* good'.

Transformers - more than meets the eye. (it really is).

200 Pounds Beauty (Korean)

I finally managed to force nard to watch a chick flick with me. Haha.
A beautifully written movie about plastic surgery playing a role in raising a person's self-esteem. It raises the question, would you go for plastic surgery to boost your confidence?
With the humour and love playing in this show, it's worth a watch.

Fantastic Four 'Rise of the Silver Surfer'

Not so fantastic after all. Lacking in the action department. A lot of silly arguments about teamwork and relationship matters.

Not that great. Watch it if you must, but no love lost if you don't.
